Faith and fostering webinar: exploring foster caring from a Christian perspective

Find out more about how Christians can support foster caring in Ireland by becoming carers, supporting those who care, and by praying.

About this Event

More than 200 children are currently waiting for a foster family. They need families who will open their homes and their hearts.

God draws people into his family. God is described in Psalm 68.6 as a ‘A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows.” It says “God sets the lonely in families.”

Vox magazine, in association with Tusla Child and Family Agency and supported by Christian charity Home for Good, invite you to consider answering God’s call to churches and to Christians in a national webinar.

The webinar aims to raise awareness of how Christians can help to address this urgent need for foster carers:

A Christmas Invitation to Pray, Care & Share

EAI is delighted to be part of the ‘Joy to the World’ initiative this Christmas. We are cooperating with Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland, and with Crown Jesus Ministries, to encourage both churches and individual believers to make the most of this Christmas.

We have developed a 6 week programme ‘Joy to the World’ which is a toolkit of ideas, links, videos and resources that you can use in the everyday. There’s no better time to say ‘Let earth receive her King!’.

The programme is a 6 week journey that will give your people easy, accessible ideas and resources that will inspire and equip them to:

Prayer (15th – 28th November)
2 weeks focus on praying for our communities and those who need Jesus

Care (29th November – 12th December)
2 weeks focus on caring through time, money, and energy to love our neighbours

Share (13th – 25th December)
2 weeks focus on intentionally sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us
