Running with the Father's Heart

Starting on Friday 4th January/ Saturday 5th January in Dublin there will be 32 marathons covering all 32 counties of Ireland.

County Dublin: Starting at Killiney Beach Car Park (near Dun Laoghaire) and ending at Malahide Beach Car Park. For more information please register on or call Katey +353 87 123 8774

Each county will host 3 events:

1. Friday evening - Father’s Heart Teaching.

A time for personal impartation of the Father’s Heart toward you, (teaching followed by ministry opportunity), held in one venue in the county.

2. Saturday daytime – from 5k to Marathon – run/walk/cycle (even swim in Co. Louth)

Please register (t-shirt and certificate included).

The many options include going solo, forming a team or running with the family:

a. Individual - marathon (42km/26 miles), half marathon (21km/13 miles), 10km

b. Relay groups - marathon (42km/26 miles), half marathon (21km/13 miles), 10km

c. Fun Run (5km), especially good for families.

d. Carry the word of God: A wooden scroll carrying the living word of the LORD will be carried throughout the land, covering the full length of a marathon in each county. Each Saturday, the first person to run/cycle with the scroll will be a Christian leader in that county and the last person will be a young believer. Others may also sign up to carry the scroll during the marathon in their county. The young person runs across the finishing line where the leader from the next county will be waiting to collect the scroll, take it home and begin the run the following weekend (occasionally, the event will be 2 weeks later, see list of dates for clarification.)

e. Volunteering. Taking part in the marathon is only one expression of God’s love. We also need volunteers who are willing to serve: e.g. stewarding and car-lifting, providing fun activities and live worship music.

3. Saturday Evening - Worship Celebration

We come together as one to thank the LORD for all He has done, is doing and will do in the country and island (to be held in a different church/venue to the meeting on Friday evening).

Everyone is welcome to participate. Venue and dates will be given. Any questions or desire to be involved please call Katey on +353 87 123 8774
